In the futura sciences web site, my doc provides a part of the schematic manually drawn for sure.
You can see the IGBT is in serie with the coil of the DC motor, the coil impedance (resistance) is only few ohms so even with an IGBT capable of sinking 75A if the gate command is stuck at ON ... I let you guess that the IGBT will be distroyed (so high temperature that the silicon junctions are melting), then short-circuit occurs
EL150, GOOD EVENING!
I DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR SCHEMATIC, THROUGH THAT SITE. CAN YOU SEND IT ASAP TO MY EMAIL:agndds@hotmail.com?
I UNDERSTAND YOUR EXPLANATION, BUT WHY IS THE GATE STUCK IN THE ON POSITION?
WHAT CONTROLS THE GATE AND VIA WHICH CIRCUIT?
IS IT THE LM317 OR THE LM339?
IT SHOULD BE THE PWM CIRCUIT, CORRECT?
IN THE MEANTIME, I NEED TO EXPLORE THE OPTION OF GETTING A SECOND PCB.
I RECALL YOU HAD ALSO PURCHASED A REPLACEMENT PCB.
WHERE DID YOU BUY IT FROM AND FOR HOW MUCH?
I NEED TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM ONE WAY OR ANOTHER ASAP!
OTHERWISE, IT WILL BE A VERY EXPENSIVE ORDEAL!
THANKS FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND HELP!
ARCHIE
For everyone who is having the same issues with EL150 electronics, YouFixit in the Netherlands offers a one year warranty on its repairs. So they must be knowing what the're doing.

Hi,
Ok I will send you what I have as schematic (hand made !)
I bought also a new PCB 2 years ago that helped me a lot to determine the correct voltages across the board but also it allowed me to cross-check the resistor ladder circuit values which is not a common discrete component.
I bought by board 2 years and a half ago from www.groupe-dragon.com (french website for spare parts). Around 440 euros at that time.
EL150, THANK YOU FOR YOUR MANY EFFORTS TO GUIDE ME IN THE RIGHT TECHNICAL DIRECTION!
ANXIOUSLY, WAITING TO RECEIVE YOUR HAND DRAWN SCHEMATIC!
SORRY, YOU HAD TO PAY SO MUCH FOR A NEW PCB!
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE, IT SOLVED YOUR MOTOR CONTROL PROBLEM FOR MANY YEARS TO COME AND ALSO TO HELP YOU AND OTHERS ON THESE FORUMS, UNDERSTAND THE FUNCTION OF ITS MULTIPLE CIRCUITS!
THANKS AND TAKE CARE!

HELLO TO ALL!
AFTER MANY EFFORTS TO REPAIR THE MIELE EL150A PCB AND WITH MANY FAILURES IN THE PROCESS, I HAVE COME TO SOME PRACTICAL CONCLUSIONS, ON HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT THIS BIZARRE PCB!
I WAS HELPED BY MANY, ON THIS AND OTHER FORUMS AND ESPECIALLY JACQUES-ELECTRO AND ESPECIALLY EL150, TO WHOM I AM EXTREMELY GREATFUL!
FROM MY EXPERIENCE, I BELIEVE THE IGBT FAILS, BECAUSE OTHER COMPONENTS THAT ARE IN SERIES BUT ALSO IN PARALLEL TO IT, BECOME FAULTY AFTER MANY YEARS OF USE AND THUS NEGATIVELY AFFECT THE FUNCTION OF THE IGBT, CAUSING IT TO OVERHEAT, DUE TO OVER-CURRENT OR OVER-VOLTAGE CONDITIONS!
EVENTUALLY, THE IGBT SHORTS OUT COMPLETELY!
IN MY CASE, IN THE BEGINNING, ALL THAT I NEEDED TO DO TO RESTORE THE PCB, WAS TO REPLACE THE IGBT WITH ONE OF A HIGHER AMPERAGE RATING.
THIS REPAIR LASTED FOR OVER 6 YEARS!!!
WHEN IT FAILED AGAIN, REPLACING ONLY THE IGBT DID NOT DO THE TRICK.
THEN, IN ADDITION TO THE IGBT, I ALSO REPLACED THE BUFFER DIODE AND THE LM317 REGULATOR.
THIS REPAIR LASTED FOR ONLY 12 WASHES, WHEN IT FAILED ONCE MORE!
AFTER FURTHER RESEARCH AND MANY TRIALS AND ERRORS, THE FOLLOWING REPAIR PROCEDURE, FINALLY FIXED THE PCB!
THIS IS WHAT I RECOMMEND, WHEN ONLY REPLACING THE IGBT, DOES NOT LASTINGLY REPAIR THE PCB.
REPLACE ALL THESE COMPONENTS AT THE SAME TIME.
1) IGBT
2) BUFFER DIODE
3) LM317 REGULATOR
4) BOTH LM339 COMPARATORS
5) 270 SMD RESISTOR
THIS REPAIR METHOD, HAS WORKED FOR ME, SO FAR, WITH AT LEAST 15 SUCCESSFUL WASHES!
HOPE THIS BENIFITS YOUR FUTURE REPAIRS!
GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!
